Administrative Staff: Billing & Care Coordinator

Job Summary:

We require someone with great customer service experience to help triage new clients to the appropriate therapist based on an evaluation of the therapist’s background and availability. The ideal Admin Assistant is detail oriented and will effectively track inbound calls, verify clients’ eligibility, and respond to phone calls and emails in a timely fashion (within 24 hours excluding weekends). Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must.

Responsibilities & Activities:

  • Answering live calls
  • Timely phone / email communication with potential clients
  • Scheduling new clients
  • Verifying insurance benefits
  • Verifying authorizations with insurances
  • Following up on denied claims
  • Contracting and credentialing new insurance panels
  • Invoicing and billing

Qualifications:

  • Customer service: 1-3 years preferred.
  • Insurance verification/authorization/medical claims and/or medical billing: 1-3 years preferred.

  • Master’s Degree in counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy
  • Active, unrestricted license (PhD, PsyD, LCSW, LMFT or LCPC) in the State of California
  • OR Active, unrestricted provisional license (LPC, LSW, MFT) in the State of California. A copy must be provided to Hope Therapy Group.
  • Available 15 hours a week with the expectation of holding at least 12 client hours
  • Work 2 weeknights or a weekend + a weeknight (weeknights are identified as 4-8pm and weekend considered 6 hours)
