- Carl Jung

Hello, I’m Karlie she/her and I am an AMFT. I am originally from Boston and worked in education before becoming a therapist. Outside of work, I love cooking, playing and watching sports, yoga, video games, and traveling with my dogs!

I love working with...

Adolescents, adult women, family systems, children 10+, couples in areas of self-esteem, anxiety, depression, identity, self-harm, interpersonal challenges, family of origin conflict, attachment injuries, behavioral challenges, child-parent relationships, major life transitions, trauma.

Some of my favorite approaches include...

Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems, attachment theory, CBT/DBT, Emotionally-Focused Therapy, Solution-Focused, play therapy, art therapy, and mindfulness-based practices.

How I help...

I believe that you are the expert of your own life and love to work from a person-centered, collaborative approach. I emphasize building a genuine and trusting therapeutic relationship, always meeting you where you are at and working towards goals at your pace. I like to incorporate creative interventions when appropriate and help you discover your inner strengths and resources.

I believe...

I believe in people’s resilience—that individuals, couples, and families can develop the tools to reach their goals with awareness, exploration, and guidance. I am an educator, therapist, and advocate and believe in social justice, equity, and learning from my clients everyday.

What it's like in session with me

The first session or two will focus on getting to know one another, discussing any concerns and preferences for therapy, and reviewing intake info and goals. I take an open-minded approach and always want to ensure my clients are comfortable, informed about the process, and have agency over their therapeutic journey. I care deeply about my clients and will tailor sessions to fit your needs, always ask for feedback, and challenge you when appropriate.
