You are not a 'good girl.' You are not
somebody's otherness. This is not a dress
rehearsal before a better kind of life.
Pick up your heavy burdens and leave
them at the gate. I will hold the door for
you.
― Kate Baer, What Kind of Woman: Poems
When I’m not partnering with clients to explore new possibilities and navigate life's transitions, I am likely baking, walking, crafting, or hanging out with my cats—living the messy, beautiful, real life we are all trying to navigate together.
I love working with...
I focus my therapeutic care primarily with Women, LGBTQ+, those experiencing religious trauma syndrome (RTS) and Adolescents.
Some of my favorite approaches include...
My practice is dedicated to supporting Women, the LGBTQ+ community, Adolescents, and those navigating Religious Trauma Syndrome (RTS). Whether you are a woman carrying the invisible weight of emotional labor and systemic patriarchy, or a member of the LGBTQ+ community seeking a social mirror to combat feelings of erasure and displacement, I am here to offer deep attunement and seen-ness. In my work with adolescents, I provide the essential scaffolding to help "under-construction" brains build emotional nuance and a healthy sense of autonomy. Additionally, drawing from my training with Marlene Winell, Ph.D.’s Journey Free Network, I help individuals reconstruct an authentic sense of self after the disconnection of religious orthodoxy. If you are ready to live a better kind of life now, I invite you to reach out. To borrow from the poet Kate Baer: “Pick up your heavy burdens and leave them at the gate. I will hold the door for you.”
How I help...
We enter therapy because we are hoping for better, hoping for relief, hoping for a companion and witness. I entered therapy for these reasons, and I am sure you are here for these as well. As a therapist, I see myself as a fellow traveler – meaning we’re in this human experience together.
I believe...
...the relationship we build together is the catalyst for change, and that real healing happens when we are met with a presence that is authentic, present, and entirely real.
What it's like in session with me
In session with me, you will find an authentic, warm partnership where we treat your heaviest burdens with deep care—but also leave plenty of room for play, humor, and shared humanity. Together, we will move at your pace to unpack systemic pain and trauma, building a safe space where it is entirely okay to laugh, cry, and creatively rewrite your story.
