Hi there, I’m Serat (she/her/hers)! I’m an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) and a proud graduate of USC. I’m forever on a journey of self-discovery, spirituality, and savoring life’s simple joys — like naps and good food.
I love working with...
I’m passionate about supporting children, couples, and individuals as they navigate life’s challenges and build stronger, more connected relationships. I also work with individuals experiencing trauma, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, identity shifts, and life transitions. I offer a safe, supportive space for people of color, immigrants, and military service members, veterans, and their families — communities whose experiences are often layered and complex.
Some of my favorite approaches include...
In my work, I draw from a range of evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches to meet your unique needs. I’m trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and incorporate somatic modalities to support healing through both body and mind. I also use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, and multicultural counseling to guide meaningful, values-based change.
How I help...
At the heart of my work is a relational approach — I believe that healing happens in the context of safe, authentic connection. I work collaboratively, honoring your lived experience and empowering you to move at your own pace toward growth and wholeness.
I believe...
True healing unfolds where hearts are deeply seen and held. And liberation blooms from the seeds of self-empowerment.
What it's like in session with me...
You can expect to be met with curiosity, respect, and nonjudgmental support as we uncover your strengths, navigate challenges, and build the tools you need for healing and growth.
