You are not too much. You have just been carrying too much alone.
Hello, I’m Nina (she/her) and I am an Associate Clinical Social Worker. I’m naturally someone who is curious about people and drawn to understanding the deeper “why” behind our patterns, especially in relationships. Authenticity is something I value deeply, both in my own life and in the therapy room. My goal is to create a space where you can show up honestly without feeling like you need to filter yourself or have everything figured out. Outside of work I spend a lot of time hiking, rock climbing, canyoneering and mountaineering, traveling, and being outdoors. Movement and time in nature help me stay grounded, and that perspective often shapes the way I think about emotional wellbeing and healing.
I love working with...
Children, teens, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. Many of the people I work with are thoughtful and self-aware but still feel stuck in patterns that are difficult to shift. This may look like overthinking, emotional overwhelm, low motivation, or repeating relationship dynamics that leave you feeling frustrated or disconnected.Part of our work may include helping you reconnect with your voice, express your needs more clearly, and build healthier ways of relating to yourself and others.
Some of my favorite approaches include...
EMDR, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Internal Family Systems informed work.
I also incorporate somatic and nervous system based practices, recognizing that many emotional patterns live not only in our thoughts but also in our bodies. At times I integrate creative or expressive approaches, such as art-based activities, when they help clients explore emotions in ways that words alone sometimes cannot.
My work is trauma-informed and culturally responsive, and I am committed to creating an affirming space for LGBTQ+ individuals and people from diverse cultural and minority backgrounds.
How I help...
Therapy is a collaborative process. Together we slow things down, make sense of what you’re experiencing, and build tools that support meaningful change. I believe that feeling genuinely understood is often the starting point for change. My goal is to help you better understand yourself and move toward the values, relationships, and direction in life that feel most aligned with who you are.
I believe...
...That many patterns begin as ways to cope or stay connected.
...That change often starts with curiosity and self-compassion.
And that therapy can help people reconnect with themselves and move forward with greater clarity and intention.
What it's like in session with me
Clients often describe me as warm, thoughtful, and easy to talk to.
Sessions include both emotional exploration and practical tools. Sometimes we focus on understanding deeper patterns, and other times we work on skills to navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, or relationship challenges.
You do not have to have everything figured out before starting therapy. We can figure it out together.
