You don’t have to have it all figured out. Sometimes, you just need a safe place to begin.
Hi, I’m Carrie (she/her/hers), a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I’ve spent over 20 years supporting children, teens, young adults, and families through life’s ups and downs. I’m warm, compassionate, and down-to-earth, and I believe therapy should be a place where you feel safe, comfortable, and free to be yourself. I’d love the opportunity to get to know you, hear your story, and work together toward feeling more confident, hopeful, and supported.
I love working with...
I love working with children, teens, young adults, and families who may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, or unsure of what comes next. I especially enjoy helping clients build confidence, learn healthy coping skills, strengthen relationships, and feel more comfortable being themselves. I love creating a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard, understood, and never judged.
Some of my favorite approaches include...
Some of my favorite approaches include trauma-informed care, CBT, DBT, mindfulness, and strengths-based therapy. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to listen, understand, and work alongside you—not tell you what you “should” do. I tailor therapy to each person’s needs, experiences, culture, and goals, creating a safe space where you can feel heard, supported, and comfortable being yourself.
How I help...
I believe therapy should feel like a safe place where you can be completely yourself. I’m warm, compassionate, and down-to-earth, and I meet you where you are without judgment. I take time to really listen and understand your story, while helping you find practical tools to navigate whatever you’re facing. We’ll work together at a pace that feels comfortable for you, building confidence, coping skills, and hope along the way.
I believe...
...everyone has a story, and everyone deserves to feel heard, understood, and accepted. I believe asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness, and that change happens when we feel safe enough to be honest and truly ourselves. I believe in meeting people where they are, finding their strengths, and walking alongside them as they create a life that feels more hopeful and fulfilling.
What it's like in session with me
In our sessions, you can expect a warm, comfortable, and judgment-free space where you can be yourself. We’ll start by getting to know each other and talking about what’s bringing you to therapy and what you hope will change. I’ll listen, ask questions, and work alongside you—not rush you or tell you what to do. My goal is for you to leave each session feeling heard, supported, and with something helpful to take with you.
