"An arrow can be shot only by pulling it backward. So when life is dragging you back with difficulties, it means that it's going to launch you into something great."
Hello! My name is Vi O’Connor and my pronouns are she/her. I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist. I love to recharge through reading, hiking, doing HIIT workouts, playing with my two dogs, karaoke, and immersing myself in plants.
I love working with...
I love working with young adults and individuals with depression, trauma, and anxiety, college/career issues, and building insight into themselves for personal growth.
Some of my favorite approaches include...
My approach is culturally sensitive, integrative, and humanistic. I incorporate nature-based approaches, acceptance, and commitment therapy, and mindfulness to help you create a safe environment for self-exploration.
How I help...
I am compassionate, mindful, and personable. My goal is to provide a safe and nonjudgmental space to help you find your inner strength.
I believe...
...each individual has strengths and a voice they need to find to help them grow towards their kind of fulfilling life.
What it's like in session with me
In session with me, I am collaborative and meet you where you are currently in your journey. We go at your pace and will talk about the current issues and stressors impacting your life. I will provide strategies and help you hone skills (i.e. communication, coping, feeling expression) to help you align with your values and goals.
